The Galaxy S8 introduced a larger screen with minimal bezels and an uninterrupted front surface. I created a wallpaper system that aligns with that hardware direction and makes the display feel more spacious and immersive.

The Infinity Display concealed sensors, replaced physical navigation with virtual controls, and expanded the usable canvas. The wallpaper needed to support that clean silhouette while leaving room for interface content and the product’s distinctive edge-to-edge form.

Infinity mirror installations inspired an abstract direction built from repeating light, space, and reflection. Early sketches reduced that feeling into layered shapes that could live behind interface content without becoming visually noisy.

Overlapping translucent layers create the impression of a deeper space beyond the screen. The composition was refined alongside motion-sensor behavior so the visual responds naturally to movement while retaining a calm, abstract character.

The wallpaper direction supports a smoother visual transition from the always-on display to the lock screen and home screen. Consistent forms and motion make the system feel like one continuous environment rather than three unrelated states.

Floating layers and subtle sensor-driven animation create depth like stars suspended in a night sky. The restrained motion adds atmosphere and tranquility while reinforcing the sense that the screen continues beyond its physical boundary.

Distinct palettes were developed to complement the Galaxy S8 hardware finishes. Each version keeps the same layered infinity motif while giving the device color a coordinated on-screen identity.

This animation shows the transition from the always-on display into the lock screen. The wallpaper expands with the interface, preserving the same forms and palette so the device feels continuous as it wakes.
